We're excited to be begin a new running feature on the blog which inquires about the "inspirations" of our favorite bloggers. Up first to tell us what gets her creative juices flowing is Houston based blogger/author, Megan Silianoff. Greetings from Texas is the name of Megan's lifestyle blog and her book, 99 Problems But A Baby Ain't One - A memoir about Cancer, Adoption, & My Love for Jay-Z is available on Amazon.

THINGS THAT INSPIRE ME

NEW YORK -  The above print is from Lulu & Georgia but the picture symbolizes the intoxicating amount of energy and excitement that my trips to NYC bring me. Every plane ride home I'm scribbling out lists of things to write about, outfits to put together, and random goals I want to accomplish.

KATY PERRY - Judge me, I don't care. Firework is my jam.

MADE IN AMERICA DOCUMENTARY - The tagline, 'Dream It, Do It', for this Ron Howard and Jay Z collaborated documentary says it all. For more about this inspiring documentary check out my blog post from yesterday.

OLSENS ANONYMOUS - I feel like the Olsen twins are a polarizing duo when it comes to their fashion sense. Guess what side I reside on? Um, LOVE! OBVI! Thankfully the blog, Olsens Anonymous, does all the legwork for me in terms of chronicling the pieces Ashley, MK, (and occasionally Elizabeth) wear.

HOMELAND-  After every episode of Homeland I'm determined to be smarter. My plan is to start by being able to locate Afghanistan and all the other countries in which Abu Nazir was puppeteering on a map. Once I conquer that, I'm 100% applying to the CIA.

THE MAN REPELLER BOOK-  I'm currently half way through Leandra's book and loving it. Because her blog is primarily about designer fashion, which I can't afford, I'm relating considerately more to her coming of age tale. Girl is funny. And successful. I'm actually only half inspired. Half inspired - half jealous.

INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO- Nobody evokes a 'rags to riches' story better than James Lipton. The actors that he interviews were just normal peeps before they made it big. Anything is possible! Aren't you guys getting inspired just talking about this gem of a show?!?!

HUSTLE-  I hated this word in high school basketball but these days I love it. Maybe because its the adjective that best articulates my current life. I'll sleep when I'm dead, right guys? (Buy the print here.)
